HORSE PARK
It's easy to see why horse lovers, golfers, mountain bike enthusiasts and festival attendees have such great things to say about their experiences at the
Georgia International Horse Park
.

SHOPPING
Downtown Conyers located along the railroad tracks will take you back to years past when the merchants knew your name and knew what you liked. Our collection of charming and quaint shops in the Downtown area are a great place to begin your shopping.

COVERED BRIDGE

Haralson Mill Road is home to a Covered Bridge which is immediately north of the Haralson Mill historic district. The setting is comprised of the Haralson Mill House, a general store, the old mill site and blacksmith shop.

RESERVOIR

Black Shoals Lake is a 640-acre impoundment located in historic north Rockdale County. This beautiful lake provides Conyers and Rockdale County with much more than just a future water supply. Designs were recently completed for a Veteran's Memorial Park, which will include many activities such as fishing, boating, canoeing, picnicking, and hiking. Currently, The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has been stocking the lake with many species of fish such as large mouth bass, bream, and catfish for sport fishing.

BOTANICAL GARDEN

Gently falling/trickling water and ponds filled with water lilies and fish will sooth you at the Lewis Vaughn Botanical Garden. A southern garden would not be complete without wisteria creeping along a trellis, magnolias blooming summer long, or rhododendron and azaleas. You may hear sounds of live Gospel or Jazz music emanating from the pavilion.

NATURE CENTER

The Big Haynes Creek Nature Center encompasses 150 acre of unique terrain. Roughly 50 acres are pristine wetland bordered with a floodplain forest with the remaining 100 acres of rolling to very steep land.

Currently under development, the Nature Center is located inside the Georgia International Horse Park.
MONASTERY

Visitors and citizens of diverse religious backgrounds all enjoy the lovely Monastery of the Holy Spirit. The church, gift shop, greenhouse, and lake are open for the public to tour. Retreats are available. The Abbey Store sells monk-made bread, religious articles, and classically crafted Bonsai plants.
